Someone chastised me for posting my guess as to when Microsoft would release the next version of SBS. A couple weeks ago, I was proven wrong. According to a technet blog post which announces the names, versions and pricing of SBS 2011 that will be a offered, we can expect to see it in the first half of the next year.
